It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beautiful daughter.

Kendra was an Honours graduate of both the University of Toronto and Humber College and recently began work as a counselor at the John Howard Society.

Kendra through all her creativity, achievement and good works toward the homeless population and disenfranchised people in Toronto, struggled herself with mental illness, but her own mental health was secondary to her benevolent nature toward others.

Kendra’s many support group members came to rely on her as she spoke and sponsored ‘at risk’ people, even developing a Sistering group for women.

As parents of a young woman with so much potential to do good for so many years to come, we see this as a double loss, not only to us, but also to her community.

A private family only memorial will be planned at a later date when Covid-19 restrictions permit.  A donation in celebration of Kendra’s life is appreciated and may be made to Sheena’s Place or CAMH, Toronto ON.

 “Her candle burned brightly”

                            –   David, Carla and her brother Jeff   –

Look to this day: For it is life, the very life of life.

In its brief course lie all the verities and realities of your existence.

The bliss of growth, the glory of action, the splendour of

achievement are but experiences of time.
