Ken Thompson

It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Ken Thompson on December 30th, at the age of 76.

A lifelong resident of Huntsville, Ken will be remembered for his passion for sports and public service, and was a 4 time Canadian Lacrosse Champion including 3 Minto Cups with the Oshawa Green Gaels lacrosse club, and played hockey with the Weyburn Red Wings.  These accomplishments led to him being inducted to the Huntsville and Oshawa Sports Hall of Fame and the Canadian Lacrosse Hall of Fame.

Ken is survived by his wife Chris, his brother Don (Marion), his son Geoff (Nicole), his daughter Tara (Bob), his stepson Brent (Tascha) and his stepson Brad, and his grandchildren Ashley, Kayla, Brandon and Alyssa and great grandchild Lyla.

Predeceased by his parents Enid and Frank and his sister Pat.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to Huntsville Hospice or Huntsville Minor Lacrosse. A kind, gentle soul, Ken will be remembered for his quick wit and smile.
