Mitchell Funeral Home is proud to be a family-owned and operated business, rooted in generations of care and commitment to the community.

Larry Mitchell, Owner and Funeral Director, brings over 45 years of experience in the profession. He has devoted his life to helping families through some of life’s most difficult moments and is highly respected for his knowledge, compassion, and steady guidance. Alongside him is his wife, Colleen Mitchell, Owner, who dedicated over 40 years of service to the Town of Huntsville before her retirement.

Bill Mitchell has worked alongside his father for over 15 years, continuing the family tradition of care and service. His wife, Brandy Mitchell, is a Registered Nurse at Huntsville Hospital. Together with their daughters, Rylee and Raya, they are proud to call this community home and enjoy spending time together as a family, often exploring and enjoying all that Muskoka has to offer.

As a multi-generational family business, we take great pride in serving our neighbours with compassion, respect, and a personal touch. Our family’s connection to funeral service in Huntsville spans nearly 100 years, with over 25 years under the Mitchell name—continuing a legacy of care that has supported families in our community for generations.
