Kathleen Dorothy Fowler

It is with sadness that the family of Kathleen Fowler (nee Hazelton) announce her passing at Fairvern Nursing Home on Monday December 6th, 2021 in her 85th year.

Beloved wife of the late Wilfred Fowler for 57 years.

Dear mother of Gwendolyn, Robert (predeceased) and Deborah (Frank).   Nana to six grandchildren and a great grandmother to their children.

Kathleen worked for many years at Huntsville Fuels, and was a great supporter of the community.  She touched the lives of many people through extensive charity and volunteer service.  She was an active member of several organizations, including the All Saints’ Anglican Church, Royal Canadian Legion (Branch 232), Huntsville Hospital Auxiliary and The Rebekahs.  She could also be seen helping at Muskoka Seniors and Canadian Blood Services donor clinics.   She was honoured for her volunteer service in 2013 by the Province of Ontario.

Kathleen enjoyed travelling, accompanied by friends on numerous trips to various locations in Canada, Europe and the United States.

The family would like to thank staff at both Muskoka Landing and Fairvern Nursing Homes for their care and compassion provided during the time they were Kathleen’s home.  She often attended activities, including worship services, listening to local musicians and playing bingo.

For those wishing to, donations in memory of Kathleen can be sent to the organizations listed above or charity of your choice.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday July 16, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at All Saints' Anglican Church, 30 High Street, Huntsville, Ontario.
