Linda Irene Schamehorn

The death occurred suddenly at the Huntsville District Memorial Hospital on Sunday, October 26th, 2025 of Linda Irene Schamehorn (nee Joiner) at the age of 74.

Linda is predeceased by her husband Gary Schamehorn and her parents Allan and Lyla Joiner.

Linda is survived by her daughters Deanna Fraser (the late Allen Fraser) and Mary-Lyn Murken (Fred Murken).  Also, by her grandchildren Spencer and Kaylee Fraser and by her brothers; Ned Joiner (Shari), Terry Joiner (Marcia), Bill Yearley (the late Peggy Joiner), Rick Hopcraft and her sisters Lee (Brian Boothby), and Deb (Reg Garnet). Fondly remembered by Reg Schamehorn and her many nieces and nephews.

Linda got great joy from volunteering both with the Salvation Army Thrift Store and the Salvation Army Food Bank.  Linda enjoyed reading, craft sales and yard sales.  Gathering with her family made her the happiest and radiate with joy.

Visitation will be held at the Mitchell Funeral Home, 15 High Street, Huntsville on Friday, October 31, 2025 from 10a.m. to 11a.m., Service in the funeral home chapel at 11a.m.

Interment at Hutcheson Memorial Cemetery , followed by a reception back at the funeral home.

 In lieu of flowers, donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated.

Her kind loving spirit will be missed by many.
