Vera Hazel (Vincent) Davis

It is with sadden hearts that on November 3, 2025, at 89 years old, Vera passed from this life to be present with her Lord and Saviour.

Vera was born in Bracebridge on March 20, 1936 to Earl and Hazel (House) Vincent who have predeceased her.

Vera dated her sweetheart Milton Davis, for 9 years, then married him on October 4, 1958 and they were together 65 years when Milton passed away April 11, 2024.

Vera will be sadly missed by her daughter, Sandra (Craig) Ward, grandchildren, Danielle (Fred) and Ethan (Chelsea) Ward, and great grandchildren, Alexa, Kaydin and Janey, and many nieces and nephews.

Vera a lived in Bracebridge all her life and has had many jobs within the town. From working at Birds, Woollen Mill, making blankets to being employed at Canadian Tire. Then she worked at Muskoka Laundry, pressing clothes and being a seamstress on Main Street for Ridley Cleaners.

Vera was very active in the Wellington St., Pentecostal Church in her younger years. She helped lead Sunday school and taught Sunday school classes, but the most joy she got was singing in the praise team every Sunday. Music was a big part of her life. She loved to play the autoharp and sing hymns with it. Vera, and some of her family started a country gospel band named the Generations where she was the lead singer in the band. In Vera’s younger years she loved being outdoors. She enjoyed snowmobiling, hiking, biking, canoeing and watching wildlife. She also liked getting out glamping in the summers. She also had a few hobbies. She enjoyed scrapbooking, Sandy, her daughter and Vera would sit for hours creating scrapbooks out of old pictures of her and Milton’s family.

Vera will be sadly missed by all her family. There will be a private family service at the Bracebridge Municipal Cemetery.
