Wava Judith "Judy" May Rice

It is with heavy hearts and unbelievable sadness to announce the passing of Wava Judith (Judy) May Smith Rice on January 3rd, 2026, under the wonderful care of the folks at the Algonquin Grace Hospice in Huntsville, Ontario.

Predeceased by mother, Wava Eliza Ciphery Smith and Father, William James Smith of Huntsville, Ontario,

Survived by sons Jason Rice, and Tim Rice of Huntsville, Ontario, as well as all her many siblings.

She fought a courageous, tough battle in her final years, with a mirid of health issues, in her 72nd year of life.

Judy was a wonderful, caring, thoughtful person who always put everyone else ahead of herself. She was an amazing cook, excellent mother and animal lover. She was all loving, kind and left a lasting impression on everyone she met.

She will be forever loved, extremely missed and always remember. She will finally be without the pain and suffering that she endured for so many years. 

Cremation was taken place, and as per her wishes, no funeral service will be held.
