Richard Donald Urquhart

Richard Donald Urquhart, age 95, of Huntsville, ON, passed away peacefully on May 18, 2026, at Huntsville District Memorial Hospital. He was born on March 6, 1931, in Toronto to Margaret and Roderick Urquhart. Richard will be remembered for his dedication to family, helping others in his community, and his uncanny ability to make connections with people from his work in the insurance industry, wherever he found himself in the world. He enjoyed sketching, gardening, and volunteering at Muskoka Steamships & Discovery Centre. Richard is survived by his wife of 68 years, Marjorie, daughter Patti & son-in-law Michael, daughter Cindi & son-in-law Andrew, granddaughter Laura & grandson-in-law Rod, grandson Adam, granddaughter-in-law Cass & great-granddaughter Kyra and nephew Doug and niece-in-law Shirley. He was predeceased by his sister Gwen, brother-in-law Roy and nephew Ronald. Per Richard’s wishes, a small gathering of immediate family will be held at a future date.
