Glenn Sydney Wilson

Glenn Wilson, of Lake of Bays entered into rest on Saturday May 2, 2026, at Algonquin Grace Hospice, Huntsville following a courageous battle with cancer.

 Glenn was the beloved son of the late George Wilson (2002) and Jean Wilson (2024). Cherished brother of Barbara Alldred (Larry), Len Wilson (Wendy) and Sheila Wilson. He will be fondly remembered by his nieces Christina (Richard) and Naomi (Chris) and his nephew Adam. He will be very missed by the family dogs Mowat, Tanner and Fletcher.

 Glenn was born June 28, 1961, in Huntsville. The family moved to Lindsay for most of his school years, but he spent most weekends and summers at the family property on Little Pells Lake. He completed his Bachelor of Engineering degree at the University of Waterloo. Following a career in computer programming, he retired in 2018 and enjoyed caring for his property on Little Pells Lake.

 During his life, Glenn dealt with serious health conditions. He suffered kidney failure as a child resulting in two kidney transplants. He fought and won two battles with cancer, but the third battle was one he could not win. The family is very thankful for the wonderful care Glenn received from the Palliative care team and Huntsville Hospice.

 At Glenn's request, there will be no service. His ashes will be interred with his parents at Maplewood cemetery with the family in attendance. 

 In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Huntsville Hospice or the Kidney Foundation.
