Peter Hanes

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Peter Hanes, of Huntsville, Ontario, on

Sunday, September 14, 2025

 Peter was born on July 13, 1952, to parents Harold and Evelyn Hanes, both deceased. He was the beloved husband of Donna and brother of the late Stan Hanes.

 Peter was a dedicated truck driver. He took great pride in his work and earned the respect of those who knew him for his reliability and determination.

 Beyond his career, Peter had a deep love for animals and nature. Each day he could be found feeding the local wildlife—from chickadees and deer to the neighbourhood fox. At home, he shared a special bond with his cats and his little dog, Jack, who were never far from his side.

 Peter will be remembered as a hardworking man with a kind heart, who found joy in simple moments and in the company of animals. His memory will live on in the lives he touched and in the many small acts of care he showed each day.
